The only true nation is the world is the human nation.

The Global Haiti Initiative serves as an intercollegiate clearinghouse for developmental programs in Haiti.  By creating progressive sustainable change, the Global Haiti Initiative will transform compassion into action while addressing the social and economic problems in Haiti. While striving to improve the overall quality of life, the Global Haiti Initiative will also infuse a new aura of mutual cooperation and partnership within the non-profit organization community.

Vision:

To eliminate Haiti's third-world status and for Haiti to become a developed nation.

Intercollegiate Goal:

To expand to 50 universities by the end of 2010.

As the future leaders of world, we as college students know the potential we have collectively to make powerful changes to the world, and understand that university students have always held a unique history of progressivism in history.  We recognize that we are of a privileged status of higher education; thus, it is our obligation to lessen the sum of human misery.

Not only will the communities receive benefits, but the university students world-wide will be able to be exposed to opportunities in the humanitarian field and also start to acknowledge the interconnectedness of humanity and that the only true nation is the world is the human nation.
